OUR STANDARDS

The practice will offer a wide range of appointment times to meet your needs.

A doctor will be on call at all times to deal with emergencies by giving telephone advice, a surgery consultation or a home visit if necessary.

Doctors and nurses will aim to begin surgeries promptly. Any delay will be due to medical necessity.

Patients with urgent problems will be given priority, especially sick children.

On weekdays, patients with a non-urgent problem should normally be able to consult a doctor or Nurse within 48 hours.

All new patients will be offered an appointment with a doctor or practice nurse.

Patients over the age of 74 will be offered an annual health check with a member of the practice.

Practice staff will offer a high standard of courtesy and service.

Patients' privacy will be respected at all times.

All patients have the right to information about their own health and to a clear explanation of any current illness, it's treatment and likely outcome.

The practice will offer advice and seek to inform patients of steps they can take to avoid illness and promote good health and will advise on the self-management of minor illness and injuries.

Repeat prescriptions will be actioned within 24 hours of a request being received.

Patients will be offered a choice as to whether or not they wish to participate in research projects or teaching.

All referrals to medical specialists and other agencies will be dealt with within 5 working days.

Suggestions from patients on how the service can be improved will be welcomed and considered by the practice.

Any complaints received from patients will receive urgent consideration and any written complaint will receive a prompt written response.

HELPING US TO HELP YOU

Please value your health and seek to maintain a healthy lifestyle and minimise health risks.

Please extend the same courtesy and politeness to the practice team as you would expect to receive.

Home visits should be requested before 10.00am, except in an emergency.

Please make a separate appointment to see the doctor for each patient to be seen.

Please always ensure you give 24 hours advance notice when ordering repeat prescriptions.

Please ensure that you arrive in good time for your appointment or you may miss your turn.

Whilst you are free to see the doctor of your choice, please ensure that any follow up appointments are made with the same doctor in order to ensure continuity of care.

Our receptionists are happy to help with all administrative matters, but please do not ask them questions about your condition.

Please tell the practice of any change of address.

Please help us to improve by letting us know what you think about our services.
